Cop Arrests Man After Her Backside Is Pinched

Officer was in full uniform when man behind her in line allegedly pinched her

A police officer arrested a man after he allegedly pinched her backside as she waited in a checkout line at a South Dallas discount store.

Dallas police Sgt. Marcia Trejo said she was in full uniform and shopping for Christmas gifts for underprivileged children when she was assaulted at the store, Fallas Paredes.

"I could not believe it," said Trejo, a 27-year Dallas police veteran. "I was in shock. I immediately turned around and asked, 'Who pinched me?' and he started laughing, as if it was funny."

But Trejo said she was far from amused.

“I asked him why he would do something like that to a officer -- or any woman at that point -- and he just said he felt like that he could,” she said.

So Trejo did what she could. She called for backup and arrested the man, Delmontco Glossen, on suspicion of misdemeanor assault.

Glossen was also wanted on outstanding warrants by the Dallas Sheriff's Office.

“I felt violated, that someone touched me that had no business touching me,” Trejo said. “He assaulted me; it was an assault.”

Trejo said she hopes a trip to jail will teach Glossen a lesson. And she said she hopes all women can learn something from her experience.

“It is indeed a crime for someone to grab you in any form or fashion, let alone for someone to grab a private part,” she said.

Glossen has bonded out of the Dallas County Jail.
