Here's a daily list of recent activities drawing the attention of North Texas law enforcement. List compiled Sept. 11, 2009.

FIERY CRASH MELTS BIG RIG
A fiery crash melted an 18-wheeler early Friday morning. The crash took place in a construction zone on state Highway 114 westbound near Texas Stadium and Loop 12 in Irving. The driver struck a concrete barrier and ruptured his fuel tank, causing a massive fire and a fuel spill. The driver managed to escape the blaze with only minor back and neck injuries. The road was closed for six hours while officials cleared the scene and cleaned up the fuel spill. The road reopened at about 5 a.m.

NAKED MAN THREATENS RESIDENTS
Dallas police arrested a naked man threatening people along South Marsalis Avenue Thursday evening. Glenda Miller said the man drove his car onto the front lawn before trying to get into her home. The man also tried to get into the home of one of Miller's neighbors. Miller and her family fought the man off of their porch with a chair. "A person in their right mind wouldn't do that -- walking around nude like that. Just like a zombiem," said Miller. The man was arrested on outstanding warrants, police said.

GARLAND OFFICER CRASHES CRUISER
A Garland police officer lost control of his cruiser when he was cut-off by another driver while responding to a call Thursday night. The officer struck a concrete barrier on LBJ Freeway near Town East Boulevard in Mesquite. The officer and his K-9 partner suffered only minor injuries. Both are expected to be OK.

ARLINGTON OFFICER CRASHES MOTORCYCLE
An Arlington motorcycle officer collided with a pick-up truck Thursday on Little Road. The officer was taken to a John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth with non life-threatening injuries, police said.

TEENS LINKED TO TARRANT COUNTY ROBBERY
Three teenagers are being linked to 20 burglaries that took place in just one week across Tarrant County. Police said the burglaries happened in Keller, Watauga, Richland Hills and Southlake. The break in the case came when Southlake officers responded to a burglary in progress call earlier this week. Carl Wisener, 19, Tanner Cunningham, 19 and Heather Trammel, 17, are being held in connection with the burglaries.

SUSPICIOUS DEVICE FORCES APARTMENT EVACUATION
A suspicious device prompted the evacuation of an apartment building in Arlington on Thursday afternoon. Someone cleaning a vacant unit at the Wood Creek Apartments found the device -- described as having black tape and wires sticking out of it. The cleaner notifed the authorities who evacuated the building and took possession of the device. No one was injured and the device turned out to be a hoax.
