Here's a daily list of recent activities drawing the attention of North Texas law enforcement. List compiled on Nov. 25, 2009.

CHASE ENDS IN SHOOTING, OFFICER INJURED
Dallas police are searching for one man suspected of holding up someone at an ATM.  Investigators said two of the men were caught after a short chase that included gunplay.  During the chase, one of the officers opened fire on the fleeing suspect, striking him in the leg.  A second person was taken into custody at a nearby apartment complex.  During the chase, one of the officers suffered minor injuries from an iron fence.  But the officer and the man shot are expected to be OK.

TEEN ARRESTED IN CONNECTION WITH AGGRAVATED ROBBERIES
Dallas police arrested a 16-year-old boy this week who they believe is tied to at least 13 aggravated robberies, the Dallas Morning News reports.  Police said the teen associates with a group of five other men who target their victims with a handgun with a laser sight.  Police said the group may be responsible for up to 20 holdups.

MAN KILLED IN HOUSE FIRE
A 78-year-old Dallas man, Raleigh Parks, is dead after fire swept through his home on the 12000 block of Quincy Lane overnight Tuesday. Neighbors heard the man's burglar alarm going off at about 2 a.m. Wednesday morning. When they looked outside they saw heavy fire coming from the home. When firefighters arrived, they broke through the front door and found the man just a few feet away from the exit. It appears he was trying to escape but was overcome by the flames or smoke.
