Some Dallas Independent School District employees were recently delivered some bad news in a not-so-good way.

Eight Herrera Student Intake Center workers are going to be eliminated on Sept. 1.  In addition to being upset about losing their jobs, the employees are disturbed that they learned of their cuts via a mass e-mail, KRLD reported.

When questioned, Superintendent Michael Hinojosa admitted the message's mode of delivery was in poor taste and said the employees were supposed to be notified in face-to-face meetings, KRLD reported.

The district is holding a job fair in June, so the workers may be able to find new opportunities at other schools.
