Coat Drive in Lancaster

The New York Department of Correctional Services donates about 7,000 surplus winter coats to shelters and Salvation Army outlets throughout the state.

The Lancaster Police Department and local churches are holding a coat drive until November 15.

The groups will accept new and gently worn coats that are clean and in good condition.

Coats of all sizes, adults, boys, girls, toddlers and infants  are welcome.

Items collected will be distributed to help residents of the Lancaster area stay warm during the winter months.

Coat drop offs are at the following locations:
City Hall- 211 N. Henry St.
Regions Bank- 1425 N. Dallas Ave
Parks and Recreation - 1700 Veterans Memorial Pkwy
Library- 1600 Veterans Memorial Pkwy
Public Safety- 1650 N. Dallas Ave
S.O.W. Life Changing Ministries- 3100 Ames Road
Annoited Fellowship-  E. 3rd Street
First Baptist- 305 E. 3rd Street
Harmony Tabernacle- 200 Rea Street
First United Methodist- 201 South Dallas Ave
