Firefighters were called to the scene of an accident near Walnut Hill and Central Expressway overnight only to be involved in an accident as well.

The Dallas Fire-Rescue crew were helping with the two-car accident when another car ran into the fire truck.

Police checked the driver of the car that hit the fire engine to see if they were intoxicated.

Meanwhile, Dallas police arrested a member of the Dallas Fire-Rescue crew after an incident at the scene.

Dallas police say when an officer arrived at the scene of the accident, Dallas firefighter Kenneth Harris questioned the officer about his response time to the accident.

Dallas police say when the officer tried to walk past Harris, Harris poked him in the chest twice.

Harris was arrested and charged with offensive contact, a class c misdemeanor. He was booked in jail, handed a citation, and let go. Harris is still on duty, pending an investigation by the fire department.
