Carrollton Police Investigate Deadly Shooting

Carrollton Police are investigating an early morning shooting that has left one person dead and a second person critically injured.

Carrollton Police and Fire emergency dispatchers received a report of an alarm at a home in the 3900 block of Luke Lane at approximately 4:45 a.m. this morning. When officers arrived at the home found two gunshot victims inside the house.
 
A 44-year-old woman was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head. A 20-year-old man was found alive with a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital for treatment.
 
Police say the victims are mother and son. While they're still investigating police say they think this may be an attempted murder-suicide incident.
