Bootleg Raid Nets 10,000 Illegal Movies, CDs

Police raided a bootleg DVD production facility in Dallas on Friday, arresting one woman and confiscating thousands of pirated DVDs worth nearly $200,000.

Acting on a tip from the Motion Picture Association of America, Dallas County Sheriff's Deputies led a two-week investigation where officers kept a close eye on a small apartment on the 3300 block of Webb Chapel Road.

During the raid, officers seized 10,000 counterfeit video and music DVDs, 30 DVD burners and supplies to make disc labels.  Some of the titles, police said, were still being shown in theaters.

A woman, 46-year-old Leticia Martinez, was arrested and later released on bond.

Martinez faces a fine of $250,000 and up to five years in prison.
