Campbell Soup Co. is recalling 15 million pounds of SpaghettiOs with meatballs because of possible underprocessing.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced the recall late Thursday.

The company is recalling certain lots of three varieties of the pasta product often consumed by children: SpaghettiOs with Meatballs, SpaghettiOs A to Z with Meatballs, and SpaghettiOs Fun Shapes with Meatballs (Cars).

The following products have been recalled:

    • 14.75-ounce cans of "SpaghettiOs" with Meatballs, bearing the identifying product code "U5" on the bottom of the can.
    • 14.75-ounce cans of "SpaghettiOs" A to Z with Meatballs, bearing the identifying product code "4N" on the bottom of the can.
    • 14.75-ounce cans of "SpaghettiOs" Fun Shapes with Meatballs (Cars), bearing the identifying product code "KS" on the bottom of the can.

Each can has the establishment number "EST 4K," as well as a "use by" date of between June 2010 and December 2011 printed on the bottom.

The products were produced in Paris, Texas, between December 2008 and June 2010 and shipped to stores around the country.

Campbell Soup Supply Co. LLC said the problem was found during a routine warehouse inspection. No illnesses related to the products have been reported, the agriculture department said.

People with questions about the recall can call Campbell's hotline at 866-495-3774. The Department of Agriculture will also post a list of where the affected products were distributed on its website when the list is available.
