That's left many frustrated doctors who can't tell their patients exactly when it will arrive.
Some doctors say they've been getting enough to address their high-risk groups; others say they have gotten no doses at all yet.
Spokeswoman Carrie Williams of the Texas Department of State Health Services says that for now, the state is focusing on getting the vaccine to hospitals, private practices and local health departments.
She says that state has been allocated 3 million doses as of the end of last week, with the highest numbers going to hospitals.
