Lakewood Elementary School parents have stepped up to help a school employee in need of a kidney transplant.
Marian Jones has been working as a crossing guard at Lakewood for seven years.
Jones had to stop working because of kidney failure earlier this month.
When Lakewood parents learned about the diagnosis they jumped into action.
The parents take turns driving the mother of three to her dialysis treatments three times a week.
They have also raised more than $12,000 online to help Jones pay for her medical bills and other expenses. Their goal is $15,000.
The parents bought another struggling school employee a car last year.

"I love each and every one of them, and I thank every one of them," Jones Said.
The parents are also hoping to help Jones find a kidney.
