The city of Dallas will enter Stage 1 of the Drought Contingency Plan on Dec. 12.

With many experts predicting the current drought to last through the summer of 2012, further restrictions are necessary even in the winter months to save as much water as possible.

What that means for customers is further restrictions on water use including watering landscaping only twice per week and only on certain days.

If the last digit of the customer's address is an even number, or if they have no address number, they are permitted to water on Sundays and Thursdays. If the last digit is an odd number, they are permitted to water on Saturdays and Wednesdays.
