Dallas Residents Can Be Super Recyclers

Dallas residents can clear their homes of everything from televisions and used tires to fluorescent bulbs and Styrofoam packing peanuts.

The City of Dallas is hosting a Super Recycling Spring Round-Up from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday,  May 16, 2009.

The first 50 residents to drop off items to be recycled will receive two free movie passes. Everyone else who participates will be entered into a drawing for their chance to win a special prize.
 

There are four locations throughout Dallas:

Dallas Bible Church - 15765 Hillcrest Rd.
Elliott's Hardware - 4901 Maple Ave. (enter on Cass St. behind the store)
Oak Cliff Presbyterian Church - 6000 S. Hampton Rd.
Everglade Park - 5100 N. Jim Miller Rd. (Buckner Terrance Homeowners Assoc.)

A certified  document destruction truck will be on hand at Oak Cliff Presbyterian Church.

Residents  can recycle glass, paper, plastic (# 1-7), up to 3 tires, scrap metal, video games,  furniture, cells phones and other approved items. No household chemicals will be  accepted.
