Glam Slam: Katie Couric’s New ‘Do

Updated 6:48 PM CDT, Tue, Dec 2, 2008

Much ado is being made about Katie Couric’s new ‘do, which she debuted on the “CBS Evening News“ last night.

The new, shorter ‘do, (or is it a don’t?) is sparking much ‘do-bate, I mean debate.

The New York Daily News slammed the new style comparing the “boyish pixie cut” to “some of Hillary Clinton’s bad ‘do days.” They also called the coif a “hair-raising new look that put the “ew“ in the evening news.“

On “Live with Regis and Kelly” this morning, Kelly defended Katie saying, “I love her haircut!”

Joel Warren of the Warren Tricomi Salon in New York gave the cut mixed reviews.

“I think what they should have done was pop up the color to make it a little more sexy. I don’t mean Victoria’s Secret sexy, but more feminine. It’s a little masculine on the nape of the neck.”

What do YOU think of Katie’s new coif?
