Your Dog Wants a Vacation

DogVacay, a service pairing dog owners with pet sitters, expands to Dallas

Starting May 23, dog owners will have an alternative to kenneling their pet when they go on vacation.

Founded by a husband and wife team, DogVacay is a matchmaking service that pairs dog owners with pet sitters, often at a substantially lower cost than kenneling.  Prices start as low as $15 per night.

DogVacay screens all host applicants, uses social media verifications, offers insurance, 24/7 support for last-minute cancellations, daily photo updates, vet care, and even a DogVacay concierge who can set up massages. Your dog may end up having a better vacation than you do.

The website allows owners to customize their search to help them find a pet sitter in their neighborhood with an appropriate yard or cozy apartment to meet the individual need of their pet.

Profile America reports that 30 million dog owners use 9,000 kennels every year.
