Southwest Airlines says passengers are flying more miles and a key revenue figure has risen compared with a year ago.
Revenue for every seat flown one mile rose 5 percent last month, compared with February 2013.
Dallas-based Southwest says that revenue got a percentage point bump due to bad weather last month.
Cancellations often result in more crowding on ensuing flights.
The figures for the Dallas carrier included the company's AirTran Airways subsidiary.
Passengers flew 7.15 billion miles on Southwest and AirTran last month, up 1.2 percent over February 2013. The company reduced passenger-carrying capacity by 1.7 percent by cutting flights.
