The Tax Man Cometh, Get Ready

For those of you who think W-2 is an order of beef low mein from your favorite Chinese restaurant -- pay attention!
Dreaded tax season is upon us and the United Way and Consumer Credit Counseling Service Of Greater Dallas has teamed up to offer North Texans free help with their taxes. People who earn less than $50,000 a year is eligible for free tax preparation from an expert starting tonight.
Bring a photo ID, income and expense documentation and last year’s return if you can find it. If you prefer bank direct deposit bring a voided check.
The help can be found at the following Dallas locations:
Thursday, Feb. 4-7 to 9 p.m.:
- Girls Inc. - South Dallas at 4411 Meadow Street
- Girls Inc. - Oak Cliff at 350 North Zang Boulevard
Saturday, Feb. 6-10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Girls Inc. - South Dallas at 4411 Meadow Street
- Girls Inc. - Oak Cliff at 350 North Zang Boulevard
- Girls Inc. - Love Field at 2040 Empire Central Drive
- Ferguson Road Initiative at 7229 Ferguson Road, building 4101
