Southwest, Transport Workers Reach Tentative Agreement

Southwest Airlines and the Transport Workers Union have reached a tentative agreement.

The three-year contract covers ramp workers, freight agents and others in operations.

Nearly 7,800 union members still have to vote on the agreement.

Southwest says the new agreement would run through June 2011.

The current contract began amendable on June 30, 2008. Contract talks began early last year.
