Southwest Airlines Adds to Atlanta Expansion Plans

Dallas-based Southwest Airlines is looking to make a big splash in the largest U.S. city they don't currently serve.

The airline recently announced they would soon offer non-stop flights from Atlanta to Las Vegas and Phoenix in March, 2012 -- less than a month after the airline takes over Atlanta-based AirTran Airways.

The announcement comes just two weeks after they announced plans for 15 daily non-stop flights from Atlanta to five other major U.S. cities.

Starting Feb. 12, 2012, SWA will offer two daily flights from Atlanta to Austin; two to Denver, three to Houston Hobby, four to Baltimore and four to Chicago Midway.
