Purchase of Nortel assets could bring 900 jobs to DFW

Nokia Siemens Networks is in position to buy assets of Nortel, according to a report in the Dallas Morning News.
The deal may offer relief for communications workers looking for employment. The purchase could add another 900 jobs to the 3,000 currently employed in North Texas.
Nortel filed for bankruptcy protection in January after losing $7 billion over the last two years.
