NBC Universal and American Airlines have reached a deal for NBC Universal to provide inflight entertainment aboard most of American's flights.

"We are thrilled to partner with American Airlines and offer passengers the opportunity to sample NBC Universal's best programming," said Frances Manfredi of NBC Universal.

NBC Universal will provide American with content from its different divisions including NBC, USA, Bravo, SCI FI, MSNBC, CNBC, Oxygen, NBC News and NBC Sports.  Passengers will also view films from Universal Pictures.

"The advantage of teaming up with someone like NBC is for us, NBC provides a variety of television programs and movies from Universal Pictures," said John Tiliacos of American Airlines.

The partnership is a plum marketing opportunity for NBC Universal.  American flies nearly 100 million passengers a year.  NBC Universal programming will appear on American flights starting March 1st.
