McKinney and Olive Building Groundbreaking Thursday

20-story tower to be completed in 2016

Construction on a big development in Dallas' Uptown neighborhood will get started Thursday.

A groundbreaking ceremony for the McKinney and Olive Building takes place at about 9:30 a.m. and is expected to include internationally acclaimed architect Cesar Pelli of Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects, the designer of the tower.

The 20-story tower is a $225 million project that will offer restaurants, retail and office space.

The building should be completed in 2016.
