Greyhound Cuts Jobs in Dallas

Call center will close in January

The Greyhound Bus company announced Monday it would close its Dallas passenger call center.

83 employees will be laid off because of the decision.

"Greyhound has constantly searched for ways to streamline its operations to maintain profitability, while still remaining competitive in the marketplace. Call volume in our Dallas call center has decreased significantly over the past five years, but our costs have not." Dave Leach, president and CEO, Greyhound Lines, Inc. said.

The call center, located at 350 N. St. Paul Street in Dallas, will close January 9.
