A local organization is helping out-of-work executives put their downtime to use by strengthening their community.

The nonprofit group Executives In Action, a pro bono consulting firm that provides "service grants" to improve the efficiency of local nonprofits, is working with 70 organizations, including "Contact Crisis Hotline."

Contact's president, Benaye Rogers, said having an executive in her office over the past year and a half has made their organization tens of thousands of dollars.

"We're in the process of going into the next three years with greater efficiency, greater understanding and, honestly, we wouldn't have been able to do that without Executives in Action," Rogers said.

While Contact's bottom line is looking much better, it's still in need of volunteers. For more information, click here.
