DFW Airport Statement on Antitrust Settlement

The following information is a news release from Sean Donohue, CEO of Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, related to the settlement between the Department of Justice and American Airlines and US Airways.

"The announcement of settlement of the antitrust litigation is great news for Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and our region.  Our anticipated position as the anchor hub for the world’s largest airline positions DFW well for future air service growth, particularly to international markets. The settlement affects a wide variety of airport stakeholders, who will benefit from the continued strength and development of DFW International Airport.   Today’s announcement is a big step forward in assuring that DFW remains the driving economic force for our region and our state."
