Passengers traveling in American Airlines premium cabins will have a new place to wine and dine before their flight. But only at New York JFK, for now.
The Fort Worth-based airline unveiled its new Flagship Lounge Thursday for business and first class passengers in New York.
The lounge and accompanying dining room are the first in a series of new or renovated spaces catering to high-paying customers, The Dallas Morning News reported.
The new JFK lounge includes a revamped dining room, catered with hot and cold food, an a la carte dining menu and a chef's table featuring made-to-order entrees. There's a "make your own cocktail" station, too.
American plans to open new or renovated Flagship Lounges in seven airports worldwide, including Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, over the next 18 months, the DMN reported.
It's part of American's plan to pump $200 million into its luxury travel product.
