Newspapers from the 1950s are still stuffed into ceiling holes at 500 S. Ervay in Dallas. That’s about when the old Butler Brothers Building, just east of City Hall, had its last major makeover.
That’s changing. Construction is finally kicking into gear on a long-touted plan for a hotel and residences that would transform the former warehouse from an embarrassing eyesore into a downtown amenity.
