Carrier Corp. plans to close its plant in Carrollton and cut 150 jobs from its East Texas facility in Tyler.
The heating and air-conditioning systems maker will replace some Tyler positions with workers from the Carrollton plant.
Tyler television station KETK reported Monday that the job cuts in Tyler are in part due to the plant's small package placement line moving to Monterrey, Mexico.
