3 Senior Executives Leaving American Airlines

Positions to be filled from within

American Airlines says three senior executives will be leaving the company, which filed for bankruptcy protection last week.

American said Tuesday that its top operations officer and the vice president for employee relations will retire Dec. 31, and the chief information officer will resign the same day.

All three will be replaced from within the company.

CEO Gerard Arpey retired last week as American's parent, AMR Corp., filed for bankruptcy protection.
