Police officers shot at a man in an East Dallas neighborhood after he refused to drop his gun, according to witnesses.
Officers corned the man in an alley near the 10300 block of Sandra Lynn Drive. People who live in the area said they heard several gunshots at about 7:45 p.m.
One witness said he saw a man standing behind an electric pole, surrounded by several officers, shortly after hearing one shot. The witness, who had driven into an alley, quickly drove away.
"What I was thinking is, like, he's going to shot the cops and he's going to come running through here, like through where everybody's at," Giovanni Almanza said. "Like, we're in danger because he has a gun, you know?"
It was not immediately clear if the man was injured, but it did not appear that any police officers were injured.
Dallas police have not yet commented on the shooting.
