Firefighters in The Colony were called to a fire at the Sonoma Grande at the Legends apartment complex Friday afternoon.
The complex is on the 5600 block of S. Colony Boulevard, near the intersection of Paige Road and state Highway 121.
From Chopper 5, firefighters standing on scaffolding could be seen punching holes in the three-story building's exterior on the second and third floors to gain access to the interior wall.
No smoke or flames were visible and, by 5 p.m. the fire was believed to have been extinguished.
Officials said two people requiring assitance were removed from the building and that no injuries were reported.
The building is apparently under renovation, due to the scaffolding erected outside. At this time it is not known what caused the fire or how much damage was done.
