Shots Fired at Another Dallas Business

Dallas police are investigating another shooting at a North Texas building.

The shooting took place at about 2 p.m. Thursday at the Towers at Park Central, a campus of three 10-story buildings on the 12700-block of Merit Drive, adjacent to LBJ Freeway.

Building management told NBC 5 the building was hit three times by what they believe to be a small-caliber handgun. The bullets did not break the glass.

An officer at the scene told NBC 5 they don't believe it was a bullet, but rather a BB or pellet gun that hit the third floor window.

Police believe someone on the highway may have randomly opened fire on the building.

Police have classified it as an unknown projectile.

Last Friday, two shots were fired at a building on the 4100-block of North Central Expressway, shattering glass and rattling the nerves of those inside.

No injuries were reported in either shooting.

NBC 5's Ellen Goldberg contributed to this report.
