Shot Man Flags Down Officer at S. Grand Prairie High School

School was not locked down, dismisses students on normal schedule

A man injured in a shooting drove into the parking lot of South Grand Prairie High School at about 3 p.m. Friday and flagged down an officer for help, school officials say.

Officers called for an ambulance and taped off part of the school's parking lot.

Investigators were later scene examining the car for evidence.

There has been no word on the man's condition or what led to the shooting.

Officials with the school said the kids were never in danger, the school was not locked down and the campus dismissed students at the normal time.
