A person is in critical condition after being shot in a road-rage incident in Princeton on Friday night, according to Princeton police.

The victim, a passenger in the car,  was shot once in the right side of his head in the 1000 block of eastbound Highway 380 at about 8:30 p.m. according to Princeton Police. The victim was air-lifted to Parkland Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

Investigators say the driver relayed information that was broadcast on police radios and Texas Department of Public Safety troopers located the gunman's car still eastbound on Highway 380.

Troopers took Bobby Schule into custody without incident and Princeton police say they found a handgun along with other weapons in his car.

Investigators say during questioning Schule admitted firing the handgun at the victims.

Police determined the incident started out as road rage in McKinney, traveling through Princeton.

Schule faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
