US 75 Partially Reopens After Pedestrian Killed

A pedestrian is dead after being hit on US 75 in Plano.

One lane of US Highway 75 in Plano is open to traffic after being closed for several hours following a fatal crash involving a pedestrian Wednesday morning.

The person, identified only as a white male in his 50s, was hit in the southbound lanes of the highway between Park Boulevard and Parker Road at about 5:30 a.m.

The driver of the car was not injured.

The highway remained closed in the area until shortly before 9 a.m. when one lane was reopened to traffic.

Officials have not said when all lanes of the highway will be open to traffic.
