Water customers in Eastland are asked to conserve water due to a break in an intake line.

The city requests that all users of treated water from the city of Eastland to immediately begin conserving water until further notice.

According to the city, the conservation request is necessary due to a break in the raw water intake line that draws water from Lake Leon and feeds it to the city's treatment plant.

Officials have not said how long they expect repairs to take.
