A man was shot, chased down and shot again by another man in Oak Cliff Thursday.
According to Dallas police, officers responded to a shooting call on the 1900 block of Lea Crest Drive at about 12:30 p.m.
When officers arrived, the spoke with witnesses who said a man armed with a rifle shot 33-year-old Isiah Waites as he sat in a car. Waites got out and tried to run, but fell as the armed man chased him down.
Witnesses told police the armed man shot Waites a second time after he fell to the ground.
Paramedics arrived and transported Waites to Baylor Medical Center in Dallas where he is listed in an unknown condition, but expected to survive.
The identity of the armed man, who is not in police custody, has not been released.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
