A 3-year old fell into a pool in North Dallas early Thursday afternoon and drowned.
Rescuers were called to a home in the 6600 block of Ridgeview Circle after 12:30 p.m.
When Dallas Fire-Rescue, emergency workers found the toddler had already been pulled from the water but was unresponsive.
DFR said it was unclear if any lifesaving techniques had been performed before responders arrived.
The child was taken by ambulance to Medical City Hospital in Dallas.
The Dallas County Medical Examiner identified the 3-year-old victim as Jensis Gregory.
Dallas police investigators have cleared the scene at the home where the incident took place.
