Traffic along the northbound lanes of Interstate 35W near Western Center Boulevard is being detoured due to a crash and fuel spill Monday afternoon.
The crash was reported at about 3:30 p.m. and involves a UPS semi in the median. The truck is blocking part of the freeway and is jackknifed, facing the wrong direction, according to the Fort Worth Fire Department.
Only one lane of I-35W was getting by through rush hour Monday. The traffic back-up stretched to 28th Street and is growing; drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes, if possible.
No injuries were reported in connection with the crash.
