Bomb Threat Prompts Evacuation at Collin College Spring Creek Campus

The all clear has been given at Collin College's Spring Creek Campus after someone phoned in a bomb threat Friday morning.

The call was received at 9:54 a.m., school officials said. Three minutes later, students were notified to evacuate the campus and that all classes were canceled into the afternoon.

Officials did not reveal any further information about the call.

Police officers from both Plano and the college investigated the threat. Using bomb-sniffing dogs, Plano police conducted a surface-level search of the campus that revealed no suspicious devices or explosives.

With the all-clear given, classes are scheduled to resume at 4:30 p.m. Friday, school administrators said.

An investigation into who made the call, and why, is under way.

The threat did not impact the schedules of the six other Collin College campuses.
