Two pickup trucks collided on an entrance ramp to Northwest Loop 820-Jim Wright Freeway, north of Jacksboro Highway, in Lake Worth Thursday afternoon.

According to police, officers were called to the Home Depot in Lake Worth just before noon Thursday for a theft in progress.  As officers headed to the scene, two men wanted in connection with the thefts fled the scene.

Police said the men, driving a black Dodge pickup, entered the eastbound lanes Loop 820 going in the opposite direction and collided head-on with a Chevrolet truck.

The driver of the Chevy truck walked away from the crash and was not injured.  The two men in the Dodge truck were both injured and transported to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.   One of the men suffered serious injuries while the other has non life-threatening injuries.

CareFlite was originally dispatched to the crash, but that call was cancelled.
