Firefighters battled a 3-alarm fire at an apartment complex in Lewisville Monday morning.

The fire at the Cambridge Village apartments, on the 1400-block of N. Valley Parkway, began at about 9:30 a.m.  First responders immediately called for a second alarm and eventually a third before bringing the fire under control.

By 10:15 a.m. the fire had been extinguished. Extensive damage was visible to at least two units on the second floor of one of the buildings.

No injuries have been reported, but medics did evaluate several of the evacuated residents at the scene.

It is not yet known how many residents will be displaced by the fire.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
