A woman was killed after a storm blew the roof off a barn near Anna on Friday evening, police said.

A storm blew the roof off a barn near Anna on Friday evening, killing one person, police said.
Anna police Sgt. Jeff A. Caponera said the storm damaged a barn in the 4200 block of Farm-to-Market 2862 in unincorporated Collin County.
One woman was killed, the Collin County Sheriff's Office said. A man was taken to an area hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
NBC 5 meteorologist Rick Mitchell said the damage was likely due to strong winds from a dying storm in Collin County. The storm moved through the area at about 5:30 p.m., the sheriff's office said.
No warnings in connection with the storm were issued by the National Weather Service.
