- The sports bra seen 'round the world after Brandi Chastain ripped off her shirt following a game-winning penalty kick during the World Cup in 1999 was finally returned to her. The famous black bra was on loan to the Sports Museum of America in New York City before the feds seized it along with other memorabilia items when the place went bankrupt in the spring. The garment was shipped back to her and she was psyched. "I haven't done laundry in a while," she quipped.
- The black stuff is set to send someone to space. Guinness plans to send one person into space, another to the ocean and a third to, well, to a Black Eyed Peas concert. Clearly, some prizes are better than others. That said, the contest is open to boozehounds in 28 countries and marks the brewer's 250 years in business. We'll drink to that.
- A newly released digital map of the Earth is the most accurate of our planet's terrain to date. The map is comprised of 1.3 million images taken by NASA and cobbled together to form an image of Earth.
- Denny's is rebranding itself as the hot spot for night owls. Between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. the restaurant chain cranks up the rock and country tunes and has begun scheduling post-concert bashes at its locations. The late-night menu features items made by musicians like Rascal Flatts, Good Charlotte and Jewel is expected to create an item.
- For four decades, Utah required would-be bar patrons to fill out applications, pay fees and become official members of a club before they could take up stools at their local watering holes -- until today. The state eliminated the quirky requirements to help bolster the $7 billion tourism industry.
