Mavericks owner Mark Cuban said there may be a place for steroid use in sports as he spoke Tuesday at a University of Pittsburgh forum.

"I'll get killed for saying this ... but I'm not so against steroids if they're administered under proper supervision and there is no long-term damage," he said.

Cuban made the comments before the Mavericks-Cavaliers preseason game.

According to several news reports, including one published by Yahoo!Sports, Cuban said he would support steroid use, especially in recovery from surgery, but only if there is proof there is no long term damage.
