BBB Says Acai Berry Trial Offers Not So Sweet

The Better Business Bureau of Fort Worth is issuing a warning consumers not to buy into free trials of the acai berry.

The dark Brazilian berry is credited with fighting cancer and alzheimer's disease as well as helping people lose weight.

The BBB said people answering free trial offers have ended up with months of unwanted credit card charges.

One Arlington-based company has drawn 139 complaints from consumers since Nov., 2008.

Received a cancellation confirmation #, but will keep calling to make sure I speak with every operator in the make-shift office.

I have been getting the run around all morning trying to get to the bottom of this. I got conflicted stories of when my order was shipped by both of the people that I talked to. When she said that I sensed something was wrong. I was right. I was told to go on line and have it cancelled and I went on line, I was told the order was canceled and I would receive a confirmation email. The email never came. This Acai Berry thing is no good, I should have researched it a little more than What i did.I though it would be good because I was trying to help my mom loss some weight, but now I hate that I even tried to help. They wont cancel the charges.
