The latest planned tribute to Prince is a musical one.

A Minnesota public radio station is inviting radio stations around the country to play Prince's song "Nothing Compares 2" Wednesday afternoon at 5:07 central time.

The song contains the lyrics "7 days and 13 hours" and 5:07 marks the length of time since the musical icon's death.

Along with the Minnesota's KCMP, radio stations in Austin, Los Angeles, Seattle, Philadelphia and New York are among those that have signed on for the tribute.

Prince wrote "Nothing Compares 2 U" in the mid-1980s, but it was in 1990 that Sinead O'Connor took the song to the top of the billboard charts after changing the lyrics from "7 hours and 13 days" to "7 hours and 15 days."
