J.K. Rowling fans got an exclusive sneak peek Thursday at the Harry Potter author's next movie.
At Cinemark Webb Chapel, fans watched a live Q&A with some of the new characters in the film Fantastic Beasts And Where to Find Them. It's the first in a series of five films, and the plot begins several decades before Harry Potter's time.
NBC 5's Kristin Dickerson hosted the event and asked some fans what they love most about Rowling's stories.
"I just love how immersive the world is. I've been reading these books since I was about 12 and I really grew up with them. They were a strong part of my childhood and in my life going forward," said moviegoer David Allen.
Fantastic Beasts opens in theaters Nov. 18.
Advance tickets are on sale Thursday, and you can watch all eight Harry Potter movies in Cinemark theaters for the next week.
