HEB Headed to Fort Worth

Popular grocery chain H-E-B is setting up a new location in Fort Worth.

The Fort Worth Zoning Commission approved a change in zoning for 4211 E. Rosedale St. near Miller Avenue on Wednesday for the applicant "HEB."

Zoning documents show a 55,000 square-foot H-E-B store, plus warehouses and offices for the company.

Leslie Sweet from H-E-B's central region did not directly confirm the grocer would expand to that location, but did say the area "is under consideration."

This isn't the first step in a possible North Texas expansion for the chain -- H-E-B already operates stores in Burleson, Granbury and Waxahachie and has bought other pieces of land in Fort Worth and Grand Prairie.
