BrickUniverse LEGO Fan Expo in Plano

LEGO’s BrickUniverse convention is coming to the DFW area next weekend, June 11-12. Tickets are $15 and will allow you to enjoy huge LEGO builds and select galleries of amazing LEGO models.

At past show’s, BrickUniverse has attracted thousands of people. The organizers have predicted that next weekend’s event will be one of the best they have ever produced.

The release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens has caused increased excitement that should the table for huge amounts of excitement. There will be a LEGO Star Wars Building Area where you can build your own Star Wars-themed creations and a Meet-and-Greet with all the iconic Star Wars characters.

San Diego-based LEGO artist Jonathon Lopes will be bringing over 30 of his select LEGO displays, which includes an 8-foot-high LEGO model of New York City’s Woolworth Building. He will be in attendance all weekend and will be available for talks with attendees on his life as a professional LEGO artist and how they, too, can be LEGO master builders.

To top it all off, Chicago-based LEGO artist Rocco Buttliere will be bringing over 40 massive LEGO models of world-famous landmarks: his marquee creations include Burj Khalifa, the world’s largest skyscraper, the full Westminster Palace in London and many more.

Other attractions for the LEGO Fan Expo include the LEGO Friends Building Area, a sizeable activity area to experience Bricks 4 Kids and live programs on the show floor.

There will also be plenty of LEGO merchandise and goodies along with some of the world’s best LEGO art.

Tickets are available for either Saturday, June 11 or Sunday, June 12.
